Weekend forecast prompts softball schedule shift

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Rain in the upcoming weekend forecast has prompted a shift in the Northern State University softball schedule.  The Wolves – originally slated to play a four-game road set on Saturday and Sunday – will now play those games on Sunday and Monday instead.

NSU will take on Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader before closing out the weekend on Monday at St. Cloud State in a second NSIC twin bill.  Game times remain the same both days with the first pitch slated for noon.

The weekend shift also prompted a move in the Wolves’ non-conference schedule next week.  Following the weekend road trip, the Wolves return home for an off day on Tuesday before resuming action on Wednesday for a doubleheader against Jamestown College.  Thursday finds the Wolves back on the field for another non-conference twin bill with the University of Mary.  Those games were originally slated to take place on Thursday.  First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. both days.
