ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University head football coach Tom Dosch has announced the hiring of Jason Hoskins as a member of the 2010 Northern State football coaching staff, working with the defensive backs.
A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Hoskins comes to Northern State via Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. Where he served as a graduate assistant working with the wide receivers in 2009 and the offensive line in 2008, and also served as the program’s video coordinator.
Before that he was a graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota, Duluth working with the running backs.
Prior to his time at UMD he was a student assistant at Loras College in Dubuque, coaching the runningbacks in 2005 and the tight ends in 2004.
He coached the defensive backs as a student assistant at Rockford College in Rockford, Ill in 2003 and was a student assistant at Loras College coaching the wide receivers in 2002.
Hoskins earned his BA in history/secondary education from Loras College in 2005 and is currently working towards his Master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 2001.
He is engaged to Kelly Andel and a marriage is planned for July 2010.
Northern State University is an NCAA Division II affiliated school participating in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
