ABERDEEN, S.D. –Northern State University athletic officials have announced the hiring of Amanda Young as the new head of the Northern State University golf programs.
Her duties will begin immediately.
A five-year letterwinner in high school for Mitchell HS in Mitchell, S.D. placing fourth in the state one year, and also participated in hockey for four years.
She then played golf for two years at Dakota Wesleyan, making All-Conference, qualifying for nationals both years and was named the GPAC Player of the Year as a sophomore.
She then transferred to the University of South Dakota, and made All-Conference her two years there advancing to the Regional Tournament both years.
She graduated from Mitchell HS in 2003 and from the University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business in 2007.
Northern State University is an NCAA Division II affiliated school participating in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
