Jordan King
Men's Basketball
Jordan King (G, 6-0, 180, Jr., Arlington, S.D./Arlington HS) led an NSU comeback effort against the University of Mary with a career-high 16 points on Saturday despite playing just 17 minutes of the game.  King drained four of eight 3-point attempts, including several late treys to keep the Wolves in contention.  He was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line while dishing out five assists and coming up with one of the team’s three steals.


Emily Becken
Women's Basketball
Emily  Becken notched her first double-double of the season with a 17-point, 11-assist effort in the Wolves' 76-65 win over the University of Mary.  Becken was one of four Wolves in double figures in scoring and one of three players to notch a double-double, marking the first time that has happened this season.  NSU has now won four straight games.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team came upon injuries and inconsistency around the edge of the mat in losing to the visiting #11 NAIA ranked Dickinson State Blue Hawks Thursday in Aberdeen, S.D. by a 31-9 score.

 

The loss drops the Wolves to 4-6 overall on the year in dual meets.

The dual doubled as the Bob Courtney Make-A-Wish Foundation Cancer Awareness night, and $2,100 was raised to help the local Make-A-Wish Foundation with the fundraiser.  Thanks to everyone that came out to support this tremendous cause.

 

The Wolves are back in action on Saturday when they tangle with NSIC foe St. Cloud State, currently ranked no. nine in the country.  Start time for the dual is slated for 7:00 p.m.

 

Northern State University is an NCAA Division II affiliated school participating in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
